A few hours ago I started to go on a walk, nowhere in particular…I was just bored and wanted to burn some energy. I was weary about walking, mainly due to the large amount of violent crime, gangs, drugs, etc in the neighborhood, but went anyway. Look at this ironic tweet as I was leaving for my walk:

If I don’t tweet within an hour saying I’m home, assume the worst please. Horrible neighborhood

About 45 minutes into my walk, stuff got…interesting. Then it got scary.

Description of guy:
Heavyset. Long hair. White. Speech impediment. Scary.

4:45: Guy in a truck drives by me and pulls into parking lot ahead of me. Exits vehicle.
4:46: Asks “How can I get to wadsworth” (a street about 5 miles away)
4:46: I answer, but keep walking. The guy says “Wait, you see I’m gay. I want to suck your cock”. The speech impediment becomes clear at this point.
4:47: I keep walking and say “No, I’m good”.
4:47: Asks how much money I want. Didn’t catch everything he said, I’m 30 feet away. I ignore him and keep walking
4:48: He gets back in his vehicle and follows me up the road.
4:??: Follows me up the road and says “I give you $250″ (god, what’s the going rate for a bj these days?)
4:??: I grab my phone and call 911.
4:??: He kept following me for another two blocks. It was too dark to get a license plate. I did get a description of the vehicle, which I gave to the cops.
4:??: Cops arrive, take notes, and leave. Ask for my number.

That’s about it…kind of scary.
