I’ve made some interesting observations at my new job. These observations may not be true in all areas, but they’re true for night shifts in horrible neighborhoods.
- Pretty much everyone smokes weed. I mean…hand rolled cigarettes. I’ve sold at least 30 packs of rolling papers nightly - more than 20 ounce bottles of Pepsi and Coke combined.
- 90% of strippers are ugly. There’s a strip club right next door to my gas station, so a lot of the strippers come and buy gas, cigarettes, etc when the club closes.
- Very few people care what flavor ‘blunt wraps’ they get. 90% of the customers who buy blunt wraps say “any flavor”. I guess people don’t care what their weed tastes like, as long as they get high. Personal research has yielded similar results.
- Pepsi outsells Coke 10 to 1.
- Stoners like to drink coffee creamers. No, not with Coffee. Yeah, I don’t understand it either.
- Drug dealers prefer plastic sandwhich bags without a zipper over zipper bags. I think it’s becuase they can roll up into a tight roll and stay rolled up.
- People stick to a certain brand of cigarettes unless we have buy-one-get-one deals on other brands. Example: Parliament sells horribly. I’ve sold 2 packs total since I started my job. We started giving a free pack with purchase tonight, and sold out quickly (12 sales).
Fun Fact:
Parliament Cigarettes have recessed filters, meaning there’s 1/4 inch of empty paper at the cigarette before the filter starts. Coke addicts prefer this type because the recessed filter is perfect for snorting coke out of
