Reader Mailbag: Podcasts I Enjoy

I got an email from Charlie Thompson yesterday afternoon asking:

What podcasts do you listen to? I bet you listen to twit, and other tech ones. Any podcasts you think would be good for someone starting aff marketing?

Thanks for the email Charlie! I’m a big fan of the entire TWiT network and am subscribed to several of their shows. I’ve listed a few of the podcasts I watch and listen to in the full post.

Tech Podcasts

• This Week In Tech - Hosted by Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, John C. Dvorak, and other tech gurus. They discuss the latest tech news. Watch out for Dvorak though…
• Diggnation - Two dudes sitting on a couch getting drunk. What else is there to say? Oh, there’s an awesome hippie behind the camera too.
• Tekzilla - Reminds me of “The Screensavers” from the now defunct TechTV network.

Comedy Podcasts

I listen to these podcasts usually when I go to bed. I sleep with my laptop next to me in bed (sad, right) and listen until I fall asleep.

• Nobody Likes Onions - don’t let the name trick you - the show has nothing to do with onions. It’s a comedy talk show done by several comedians from Florida.
• Red Bar Radio - Another comedy podcast that’s been on the “air” for over 5 years! Mike D and his cohosts take on stupid infomercials, Whoopi Goldberg, and the latest stupid news stories.
• Wreckless Media Radio - I just started listening to this one after hearing about it on RedBarRadio. I’m addicted already though

Miscellaneous Podcasts

I also enjoy a radio show that’s broadcast on California’s KFI (AM 760). Handle On The Law is on every Saturday, and is a legal call in show. Bill Handle tackles the latest stupid legal cases and answers questions from the audience. As he likes to put it, he gives “marginal legal advice” and enjoys telling people they have absolutely no case.

I also listen to “Handle on the news“, a weekday morning show from the same station with the same host. It’s like any morning news show, but Handle sure knows how to entertain.

Affiliate Marketing Podcasts

As for affiliate marketing podcasts, I’m not the best person to ask. I’m going to start learning the basics of affiliate marketing soon, but haven’t listened to any yet. I did, however, find this post that lists a few.
